Improve your confidence
We can help you become more confident when speaking and interacting with people.
It’s all about practise
We offer a supportive environment where you can practise and improve your communication and public speaking skills.
Become a leader
We also offer leadership development pathways for members looking for career progression.
I’m excited about being President of City Women Speakers for the 12 months from 1 July to 30 June. This is my 4th committee role on the club but it’s my first role ever as a Team Leader, which ties in perfectly with the Dynamic Leadership path I have chosen in the Toastmasters education programme. I have a fabulous committee this year, comprised of 7 women, each of whom are bringing fresh ideas (like this new website!) and a vibrant new energy to our club.
This is the perfect time for you to join and reap the rewards of membership with our club.

Conquer your fear
Does your heart start racing and your palms sweating when you have to speak in front of a group of people? According to some studies, people’s number one fear is public speaking. We can help you overcome it.
‘City Women Speakers is an incredibly supportive club where members can practice public speaking and leadership skills in a safe environment. Thanks to the encouraging, constructive feedback I received from other members and my mentor, I was able to progress from not being able to go up on the stage to delivering a business presentation to 400+ people in my organisation in a matter of months. Toastmasters has taught me that no-one is born a public speaker; the more you practice, the better you become. I found City Women Speakers to be the perfect place to practice for the real world challenges I want to tackle!
