President Introduction
Welcome to City Women Speakers. I’m very pleased you’re here. Whether the thought of public speaking seems frightening or enlivening, this website will help you decide if our club’s a good match for you.
Conquer your fear
Does your heart start racing and your palms sweating when you have to speak in front of a group of people? According to some studies, people’s number one fear is public speaking. We can help you overcome it.
‘City Women Speakers is an incredibly supportive club where members can practice public speaking and leadership skills in a safe environment. Thanks to the encouraging, constructive feedback I received from other members and my mentor, I was able to progress from not being able to go up on the stage to delivering a business presentation to 400+ people in my organisation in a matter of months. Toastmasters has taught me that no-one is born a public speaker; the more you practice, the better you become. I found City Women Speakers to be the perfect place to practice for the real world challenges I want to tackle!
