Dear all,

It was such a pleasure to see you so many of you at our summer party last Wednesday! What a great way to finish another successful year for City Women Speakers. It was my honour to serve the club as President in the last year and I am delighted to share that once more our club has achieved 10 distinguished club points (the maximum number) which recognises the many education achievements of our members, the attraction of new members and our good standing as a club. Many thanks to all of you for making this another fantastic year!

Our party team Lynn, Aga and Zori had found an ideal location with delicious canapes and some wine to spend the evening together whilst listening to speeches, enjoying table topics and games, sharing our achievements and handing over to the next committee.

Aga was our Toastmaster for the evening, helped by timer Laura and grammarian Zori. We heard speeches from Sin, Marianna and Carrie. Sin and Carrie shared their experiences of mentoring and Marianna shared an inspiring story on how to achieve our dreams through a clear vision. We enjoyed some fun tabletopics where Lynn asked members to give a year end speech for various organisations including the celebrity impersonating association, a company specialised in toddler obstacle courses, a company which makes glasses for dogs and the We Love Zombie association. Carrie won the award for best speaker, Anqi the award for best evaluator and Irina the award for best tabletopics.

The party was also the occasion to hand over to the new committee… drumroll… here is our new committee!
