Dear all,

We had another great meeting last Wednesday! Marianna was your toastmaster for the evening and speedily led us through the agenda. She was helped by our timer Kate and grammarian Maria who introduced the word percipient as the word of the day. Our first speaker Aga spoke about why third impressions are important and worth listening to. She illustrated this through her experience of a colleague her grandfather and her partner. Our second speaker Nadya from PMI speakers delivered a brilliant speech and call to action to learn to know our heart and how to detect early signs of Atrial Fibrillation. The tabletopics were led by me this time and we discussed milestones in our lives such as moving to a new country, childhood memories, and first jobs. Ailsa won the award for best evaluator and Paula for best tabletopic speaker. It was great to see so many guests at the evening, we hope you enjoyed it and we look forward to welcoming you again. Club announcements: A free evaluation workshop led by Freedie Daniels will take place on 24 October.

31 October: Our club will have a Moment of Truth session to hear everyone’s view on how we are doing and where we can improve.14 November: City Women speakers Christmas party.

Best wishes,

Esmé
