Welcome to City Women Speakers!

It is a pleasure to have you here.

On this page you will find all the information you need to make the most of your membership. You will learn about the steps you should take to begin your Toastmasters journey.

let's begin

 1. Set up an EasySpeak account

The first step is to set up your account on easySPEAK, one of the two systems which members use regularly.

Click here to open EasySpeak in a new tab. On this page in the upper left hand corner, you’ll see a log in box. Click the word ‘register’ (next to Login) and it will take you through the registration process: agreeing to T&Cs, completing user ID and password – and do scroll down this page as sometimes it isn’t clear that there are more details to enter! (Full first name and last name).

Once done, you’ll receive an automated email from that system advising you of your username and password. If you didn’t get this email, please check your spam folder.

IMPORTANT

EasySpeak is for registering attendance (yes/no) at the meetings and also to sign up for speeches & roles. Please get into the habit of confirming your attendance for the next 3-5 meetings ahead of time to help us plan the agenda. If you have any problems using this system, then do let us know.

2. Select a Pathway on the Toastmasters International website

Pathways Guide
The other system is Toastmasters International https://www.toastmasters.org/ which you’ll use to access Pathways (our education program) and your Base Camp (learning platform).  You’ll get access to this once your membership is activated by Armelle, our treasurer.
Here are two important documents: Pathways Cheat Sheet will help you navigate through Base Camp and the Pathways Guide will help you choose your path.

PLEASE NOTE

The two systems are completely independent of each other; Toastmasters International uses your email address as the username, and easySPEAK uses a log-in ID comprised of your first name and the first letter of your surname but the URLs are very similar so new members often sign into one site using the username & password for the other site ….. and then get locked out due to using the wrong password. Good to know in advance!

3. Join the WhatsApp group & Follow us on LinkedIn

You already know about the club WhatsApp group, which we use for sharing Zoom Meeting IDs, links to relevant events, and most importantly – to send out requests for speakers, evaluators, timers and grammarians. Please keep an eye out for these messages.

We also have a LinkedIn page and it would be great if you’d like to connect. We’re always open to members posting short articles, so we can showcase your work. If you attend any networking events, training events, use something from your Toastmasters experience at work, or even if you just see an interesting article that you’d like to write a little about and share – as long as it’s linked with your aims at Toastmasters in some way – then please let us know.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask. We are all here to help.
